First Impressions: Sid Meier’s Civilization V

Conquer the world with strategy
Civilization is an excellent turn-based strategy title for PC and the goal of the creators of the new sequel is to attract more players.
To do have many options and avoid detail you need to handle your construction, but the players involved can continue to do so. An example of this is the Technology Tree, where you can draw a type of technology you want to develop and your workers will do the necessary to meet those requirements.
In addition, the interface is easier to use, faster and more specific, which means that most of the information you need will be available on the screen all the time. Civilization V Everything is elegant, the presentation is very clean and adequate for the type of game.

The ranged attack is very important
Not everything new is designed to attract a greater number of new players, the creators of the title are aware that they have a very large community which likes to create changes, and they will do something to make it now easier and more accessible the player engaged.
Who knows this game knows that the board was divided into squares, hexagons now. That may seem a simple change, but it makes the movement on the board is more balanced and it also helps that the combat works better.
This latter element has changed a very important way, now fighting distance plays a crucial role and the units are properly positioned on the board can withstand more attacks than those who are badly off people.

Accommodate your units well
The diplomatic victory also received some changes, now win the game this way will be a little easier for those seeking a political alternative to deal with enemies, gold will help meet these goals. Another way to win the game is with the Social Policies, goals that ask political, cultural and technological serving six of them will give you victory.

Civilization 5 wants to achieve something very difficult: create new gameplay features that appeal to players new no scare off experienced, and I have to say that I think that the game would be too complex for the casual gamer. For me it was a nice surprise and I’m sure I’ll be playing it when it becomes available.
